this is crazy and highly unlikely, but i think cardinal sean is a great candidate for pope based on what little i know of him and by going to mass in the boston area for the past 12 years, which overlaps with his time as the archbishop of boston.
but yeah, i’m very doubtful that he would be elected.
we shall see who will be the next holy see.
as an aside, it’s so weird to see all the talk about catholic things on mainstream media. as a privately (?) religious person usually surrounded by atheists and agnostics, its strange to me that other people would care about this. but then i remember that there are lots of other private catholics all around me who might be interested. we just had our yearly outting ceremony last week (ash wednesday). there are a lot of catholics out there.
