diary of a street art fangirl

i got an email about the upcoming street art show at the fourth wall gallery a few days ago. listed as showing is hargo, a cambridge/somerville artist who has been making me smile with his monopoly characters and cash for ___ signs for a few years now, so i decided that i definitely needed to check out this show.

i looked at the site for the show and noticed a animals/people black&white wheatpaste that reminded me of gaia and got pumped because he is awesome and i haven’t seen his work lately. but alas, gaia’s name wasn’t listed for this show and the piece i liked was done by a different artist - nanook. i did some googling to find out he was from baltimore- where gaia did tons of stuff a few years ago. exciting. then i clicked around juxtapoz for a while to look at what some of my old favorites are up to and what new pretty things are being thrown up on walls around the world.

so that was a productive 30 minutes of research and internet wandering today, i think.
